The Successful Candidate Will Work With Our Customer To Accomplish The Following Outcomes

Determine how organizations are adopting and adapting the Framework and related NIST guidance, including how organizations are aligning and augmenting their historic risk management practices with the Framework.

Identify voluntary consensus standards, best practices, and approaches that align with international standards to the fullest extent possible, do not add to current regulatory burden, and are technology neutral. These activities include research and analysis of international and domestic cybersecurity risk.

Develop approaches for integrating cybersecurity risk management into enterprise risk management;
Develop methodologies that identify and mitigate impacts of the cybersecurity measures or controls on business confidentiality and protect individual privacy and civil liberties. The contractor shall identify relationships between privacy, civil liberties, and cybersecurity risk management. These activities include but are not limited to: event attendance, white paper development, methodology research and analysis.

Perform activities, including but not limited to call plan support, call plan tracking, critical data tracking, and formulation of that information into examples of use documents and presentation materials, publication and white paper authorship.

Daily activities vary: analysis of industry resources, mapping exercises, to white paper authorship. The client is flexible and open to ideas. The ideal candidate will be motivated to share ideas via meetings and written materials.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Network Security or equivalent field of study is desired CISSP or similar is also desired.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of security assessments (e.g. ISO 27001, COBIT, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-39)
  • Experience with mapping security controls
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word

Skills:
  • Working knowledge of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework
  • Advanced security control framework knowledge
  • Experience creating professional visual representations
